H I S T O R Y ;

Kenneth comes from a long line of gifted individuals. His family has had a place in history of those with heightened senses, unusual abilities, and communicating with the dead for centuries back. The line has since been somewhat diluted, with death and marrying outside of the conventional, in addition to the loss of the family fortune to a scam that his great-grandmother is still bemoaning, but they still have their ideals, and occasionally one in the line comes along with a gift, and it falls to that child to try and win the family its former glory.

It's no surprise that when Kenneth discovered he was able to levitate spoons when he was seven that he kept it to himself. He never wanted to be a hero, he never wanted to win the family their greatest fortune. He liked things the way they were. His family all living close together in a two storey home that was in disrepair that had been owned for longer than anyone could remember by the Wongs, his parents both working in the gift shop in the Man Mo Temple in Tai Po, grandparents running a small sandwich cart outside. It was mostly for tourist sake, but the temple was as much part of their family history as unusual abilities.

Kenneth was the youngest of six children, and he didn't have an easy time of it. His parents expected good things from him because his siblings were also quite bright children, and they pushed him in his studies, although he didn't entirely mind because most of the work came easily to him once he worked it out in his head. Most of his free time he spent with his best friend Theodore, making sure he didn't get into trouble. Kenneth took care of Theodore because someone had to, and Theodore was such an easygoing kid he'd get himself killed if someone asked him to step in front of a bus. So Kenneth stuck up for Theodore, and occasionally got into fights because of it. So he got his oldest brother who'd moved out to join the military to teach him how to be a fighter.

Kenneth's life was just one long line of learning new skills, while the whole time he kept his ability to manipulate metal hidden. He didn't want to be singled out by his grandmother who was always talking of how the babies in the family would be the lucky ones, they'd be the ones with the great powers, that something great would come from the Wongs again. He didn't care about that, and he just wanted to live his life like a normal person, and hang out with his best friend.

He'd heard stories about how those who were gifted were sent away into the mountains to train their minds and become strong warriors. If he left, Theodore would be alone, and if Theodore was alone, Theodore would get killed.

So Kenneth kept his secret, occasionally miserable at home when his grandmother saw fit to tell her stories, but content, practicing his metal-bending powers by night, going to university and living off of scholarships, and keeping tabs on Theodore. He even went so far as to get a job in the bookstore next to the McDonald's Theodore worked at to make sure nothing bad happened to him on breaks.

P E R S O N A L I T Y ;

Kenneth is an extremely bright young man who would have a limitless potential if he didn't occupy himself with keeping his best friend safe. As it is, he keeps himself reigned in, and doesn't do nearly as much as he could. He doesn't mind, though. Theodore is the closest person to him, and he enjoys his company. A lot.

Outside of his friendship, Kenneth is a focused individual, and while he gets flirted with often, he's not one for flirting back, because quite often he's unaware he's being flirted with because he never took a direct approach to romance, despite his brothers and sisters frequent (and useless) coaching on ways to woo a woman. He's a polite person, but firm, when on his own, and with Theodore he's fiercely protective. He's only ever raised his voice in anger when someone meant to harm Theodore, or insults his family. Kenneth's values are very clear, in his mind.
